The captive web portal is used to authenticate users and their devices to the network through a set of supplied web pages. The particular captive web portal used may vary for each of the Connection Profiles.
There are two principal locations where the captive web portal is specified: in Configuration > Policies and Access Control > Connection Profiles and in Configuration> Advanced Access Configuration Overview > Portal Modules. The relationships are shown in the figure below:

Chained, authentication, and provisioning modules include the ability to perform a range of actions that fine-tune the behavior of the captive web portal.
