Self Service Portal

Menu path: Configuration > Advanced Access Configuration Overview > Self Service Portal.

The Self Service Portal provides a means for users to register and manage their devices from a special portal page located at https://<hostname>/device-registration, where <hostname> is the name of the A3 host. Several interfaces are provided to users:

  1. Users accessing this page will be asked to login as if they were registering their own devices.
  2. All of their registered devices will be listed with details, including the current role, MAC address, and registration date. Devices can be unregistered, or declared as lost or stolen.
  3. New devices can be registered by MAC address via the Register another device button. By default, the device is registered with the user as the owner and the role as defined in the Self Service Portal (see below).
  4. Local users can change their passwords as well. All administrators are local users.

The Self Service page displays a list of defined portals. Selection of an item displays its details and makes it available for editing. Items can be deleted by clicking delete icon or cloned for a new definition by clicking clone icon. A new entry can be added by clicking new client registration icon. Self service portals must be specified in the Self Service Policy setting on the appropriate ConfigurationPolicies and Access ControlConnection Profiles page.
