Access Duration

Menu path: Configuration > Advanced Access Configuration Overview > Access Duration.

The Access Duration page is where you define the time periods offered for client access throughout A3. The fields on this page are:

Access Duration Choices The table with the list of currently available choices.  
Default Access Duration The default access duration value, which must be chosen from the Access duration choices. 12h

Each row of the table contains the following settings:

Field Usage Example
Item number The order number in the list. Items can be rearranged by selecting the item and moving it to its appropriate position.  
Number of units A quantity to be used in conjunction the units field. 2
Unit The unit of time. One of: seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years. hours
Relative

The duration value can be either:

  • Absolute - off icon. A time value relative to the moment at which it is used.
  • Relative - relative icon. A time value relative to a most recent time reference. The time reference is specified in the two fields adjacent to the slider: a numeric value and units of time. For example, if the number of units is 10, the units are days, and the relative value is 1 weeks, then the access duration is 10 days from the beginning of the week.
