WRIX

WRIX is the Wireless Roaming Intermediary eXchange standard from the Wireless Broadband Alliance. It offers a modularized set of standard service specifications to facilitate commercial roaming between operators. A3 supports WRIX-l (Location) specification.

New entries are created by clicking . There are five tabs in a WRIX entry:

• Identification
• Location
• SSID
• Hours
• Longitude/Latitude

The tab defines the identification of the provider, location, and service provider for the site. The fields on the tab are defined in the WRIX-l specification:

• ID - unique ID for the WRIX entry
• Provider Identifier
• Location Identifier
• Service Provider Brand

The tab defines the location of the site. The fields on the tab are defined in the WRIX-l specification:

• Location Type
• Sub Location Type
• English Location Name
• Location Address 1
• Location Address 2
• English Location City
• Local Zip Postal Code
• Location Country Name
• Location Phone Number
• Location URL
• Coverage Area

The tab defines open and 802.1X SSIDs. The fields on the tab are defined in the WRIX-l specification :
