General Configuration

Menu path: Configuration > System Configuration > Main Configuration > General Configuration.

General Configuration is used to set some basic A3 networking characteristics:

Topic Usage Example
Domain Domain is the domain that is appended to the hostname on A3 when delivering the CWP to clients. For example: If this is set to company.com and Host Name is a3-corp, then when a client undergoes the registration process, the webpage that is delivered is a3-corp.company.com. company.com
Host Name Host name used in the CWP reference. See the discussion for Domain. a3-corp
DHCP servers Comma-separated list of DHCP servers on the network. These are used after A3 releases a user from the isolation and registration networks.
Time Zone The system's time zone. If left empty, the time zone of the server on which A3 is running will be used. The time zones list refers to cities; American cities are listed under America.
Note: A change in time zone should immediately be followed by a reboot of all custer nodes.

Note

Note

When advised to restart any A3 service, the administrative interface for each cluster member must be used individually to perform the operation. Perform the operation on each member one at a time, waiting for the service(s) to completely restart.
