This page provides a display of the logs related to A3 administrative tasks, invoked by an application programming interface (API). Most of the fields are for use by support personnel.

The general format and usage of this page is discussed in General GUI Usage.

Admin API Audit Logs

The view offers selectable columns (with the select columns icon symbol); the initial default columns are:

Admin API log entries can be searched with a Simple Search or Advanced Search, based on the position of the select advanced slider. Simple searches consist of a search by user name, action, or object id, whereas advanced searches use multiple search conditions.

Clicking on any entry displays information about that log entry, as discussed in DNS Log Entry.

Admin API Log Entry

The DNS log entry columns that can be selected with the select columns icon icon are shown below. Selecting an individual log entry will display the data for that entry in three tabs:

Label Usage
Created At The date and time at which the log entry was made.
ID A unique identification number, incrementing with each API usage
User Name The name of the administrator logged in during the API request.
Action The internal action performed. For example, api.v1.Config.Bases.resource.update is used to indicate a saved configuration parameter update.
Object Id The ID of the item being updated.
URL

The specific file modified.

Method The method used to modify the resource. For example, PATCH indicates a change within the file.
Status The returned status of the API call. For example, 200 indicates success.

Simple Search

The simple search choice offers a straightforward means of searching user entries:

Advanced Search

Select the select advanced slider to access the advanced searches page. Multiple or conditions are joined together with and conjunctions. Each element of an or set can be deleted with the delete iconsymbol or reordered by selecting the item's grid icon symbol. Reordering can occur across or sets.
