Reports

Menu path: Reports .

The Reports page offers a number of reports on the state of the system, and successful and failed authentications.

The list of reports is shown on the left side of the page in several categories. Reports that display a pie chart are distinguished by a pie chart symbol next to their name. A table of values is shown below the pie chart.

Charts are used with the following controls:

Standard Reports

The available reports are:

Client Operating System

The percentage of operating systems seen in the pie chart along with the following selectable table columns:

Operating System Class

The percentage of operating system fingerprint seen in the pie chart along with the following selectable table columns:

Inactive / Active / Unregistered / Registered

A table of inactive, active , unregistered, and registered clients, with the following selectable columns:

  • Computer Name

SSID (All)

Connections by wireless SSIDs, both as a pie chart and table with the following columns:

  • SSID
  • Number of clients (nodes)
  • Percentage of the total
Accounting Operating System Bandwidth

The bandwidth consumed by operating system, both as a pie chart and table with the following selectable columns:

  • DHCP fingerprint
  • Total bytes and octets
  • Percentage of the total
Node Bandwidth

The bandwidth consumed by client, both as a pie chart and table with the following default selectable columns:

  • Calling Station ID
  • Bytes In - full and partial bytes
  • Octets In
  • Bytes Out - full and partial bytes
  • Octets Out
  • Bytes Total
  • Octets Total
  • Percent
Authentication Failures

This pie and table combination of authentication failures offers displays by MAC, by SSID, or by Username at the top of the page. The selectable table columns are:

  • MAC Address
  • Total number of failures
  • Count of failures
  • Percent of the total
Successes

This pie and table combination of authentication successes offers displays by MAC, by SSID, by Username, or by Computername at the top of the page. The table columns are:

  • MAC Address
  • Total number of successes
  • Count of successes
  • Percent of the total

Other Reports

Where available, reports in this category can be searched with a Simple Search or Advanced Search, based on the position of the advanced slider (advanced switch). Simple searches consist of a search for assorted categories, whereas advanced searches use multiple search conditions. Additional reports in this category can be defined by editing a file; refer to the Advanced Topics section of the Installation and Usage Guide.

All Authentications

Information on all successful RADIUS or portal authentications. Search results are displayed as in the Auditing page. Simple searches are available based on:

  • MAC Address
  • Owner
  • Process Name
  • Source
  • Status
Closed Security Events Information on all closed security events. Search results are displayed as in the Auditing page.

Email Registration /

SMS Registration /

Sponsor Registration

Information on all successful email-based registrations. Simple searches are available based on:

  • Activation Code
  • Connection Profile
  • MAC Address
  • Owner
  • Status

The available table columns are:

  • Owner
  • MAC Address
  • Activation code
  • Code expiration
  • Unreg date
  • Status
  • Connection profile
IPv4 Archive

Information on all devices on the network. The IPv4 archive must have been previously enabled on the ConfigurationSystem ConfigurationMain ConfigurationMaintenance page. Simple searches are available based on IP or MAC address.

The available table columns are:

  • MAC Address
  • IP Address
  • Start time
  • End time
IPv4 History

Information on all devices on the network for a period of time (1 week by default). The IPv4 history must have been previously enabled on the ConfigurationSystem ConfigurationMain ConfigurationMaintenance page. Simple searches are available based on IP or MAC address.

The available table columns are:

  • MAC Address
  • IP Address
  • Start time
  • End time
Open Security Events

A table of unresolved security events, with the following available columns:

  • Event date
  • Security Event Name
  • Node (client) status
  • MAC Address
  • Computer Name
  • Owner
  • Device Class
  • Role
SMS Registration

A table of SMS attempted registrations, with the following available columns:

  • Owner
  • MAC Address
  • Carrier
  • Activation code
  • Code expiration
  • Status
  • Connection profile
Sponsor Registration

A table of sponsored attempted registrations, with the following available columns:

  • Owner
  • MAC Address
  • Registration expiration
  • Status
  • Connection profile

Simple Search

The simple search choice offers a straightforward means of searching user entries:

Advanced Search

Select the advanced slider (advanced switch on) to access the advanced searches page. Multiple or conditions are joined together with and conjunctions. Each element of an or set can be deleted with the delete iconsymbol or reordered by selecting the item's grid icon symbol. Reordering can occur across or sets.
