Before you begin become familiar with IQ Agent.
            
         
        
            Here are some basic approaches to troubleshooting communication issues. Note that you
                can configure IQ Agent to use a specific VR or
                VLAN for Switch Engine.
            
        
        - 
                In IQ Agent:
                
                    - 
                        To check the current
                            status, use show
                                iqagent.
                    
 
                    - 
                        To discover onboarding
                            issues, use show
                                iqagent discovery detail.
                        
Issues that might arise
                            can be that you cannot ping the cloud or resolve host names.
                     
                
             - 
                Use ping extremecloudiq.com to check for basic internet
                    connectivity. 
            
 - 
                Use ping vr vr-mgmt extremecloudiq.com to check for basic
                    internet connectivity if you are using the dedicated management port.
            
 - 
                Use traceroute extremecloudiq.com  to check where packets
                    are dropped. 
            
 - 
                Use traceroute vr vr-mgmt
                        extremecloudiq.com to check where packets are dropped if you are
                    using the dedicated management port.

                 Use configure iqagent server vr
                        <VR-Mgmt | VR-Default> vlan <vlan_name> to configure a
                    specific VR and/or VLAN for IQ Agent to
                    use.
