You can set a radio on some APs to client mode, which enables the AP to connect to existing Open and PSK wireless networks—including third-party networks—as a generic BYOD client.
The best-practice recommendation is to use a wired interface to configure client mode APs, because the configuration process is much faster than it is with a wireless backhaul.
