Configure User Profile Access Restrictions

First create a new user profile, or select an existing user profile to edit. Go to:

Configure > Network Policies or to

Configure > Common Objects > Policy > User Profiles.

Use this task to configure access restrictions (date and time limits) for users based on their assigned user profiles. This is particularly helpful when you manage non-employee guest users, such as visitors, VIPs, and contractors.

  1. On the DATA/TIME LIMIT tab, turn on Access Restrictions.
  2. Select Time Limit.
    1. Select the limit in minutes, hours, days, or weeks (the number of minutes in a number of hours, or hours in days, or days in weeks).
    2. Select how to define an hour (either a fixed or rolling time window).
  3. Select Data Usage Limit.
    1. Configure a data usage limit (in MB or GB).
    2. Limit the duration to days, weeks, or months.
    3. Select how a day is measured (either a fixed or rolling time window).
  4. Continue configuring the user profile, or select SAVE USER PROFILE.
