Multiple User Accounts (Bulk Create)
Bulk-create multiple ExtremeCloud IQ user accounts.
Navigate using the tab icons. Hover over an icon to see the name of the tab.
Configure > Users > User Management > Users > Bulk Create
You can bulk create user accounts for multiple ExtremeCloud IQ users who need access to your network; typically guests, contractors, visitors, and VIPs. User accounts are assigned to user groups so that their access privileges can be easily managed. See Add User Groups to bulk-add users to a user group.
Note
Before you can bulk-create user accounts, you must have an existing user group to which you are going to add the new users. To view the existing user groups, see User Groups. To add a new user group, see Add User Groups.To bulk-create user accounts, perform the following steps:
In the Configure > Users > User Management > Users window (see Users), select Bulk Create. Make the following selections and entries:
Create account in user group: Select the user group of which these users are members.
Username Prefix: Enter a prefix for these users' names, up to 28 characters long. This prefix will be added in front of the digits for each user name, starting with 1. For instance, if the user name prefix is "1250", then the first bulk-created user is "12501", the second user is "12502", and so on.
Number of Accounts: Enter the number of users to add, between 1 and 1000.
Email User Account info to: Enter an email address, up to 128 characters, to receive the user credentials.
Select Save to save your changes, create the requested user accounts, and email the bulk-created login credentials to the saved email address in CSV file format. In the Users window, you can now see the added user account information. The CSV file contains SSID, user ID, user name, user group, access key, and expiration date for each bulk-created user.
