admin_name > Global Settings > Administration > Device Management Settings

This window appears immediately after you log in, accept the Extreme Networks license agreement, complete the Welcome to ExtremeCloud IQ window, and enter an entitlement key (or continue without entering a key, in which case, you have a 30-day grace period to use the product until the key must be entered). In this window, you can set basic parameters for ExtremeCloud IQ and Extreme Networks devices.

Default Password: This is the password the root admin uses to log in to a new device. The default password is Aerohive123. To create a new password, enter it in the New Device Password field. The device password must be an alphanumeric string containing 8 to 32 characters, with at least one number and one uppercase character, and cannot be the same as the user name or a previously used password.

Confirm Default Password: Enter the new default password again.

Show Password: Select this option to see the characters in password. The Default Password and Confirm Default Password fields only affect the password used to log in to devices. Changing it does not affect your ExtremeCloud IQ login credentials. To change your ExtremeCloud IQ login password, navigate to admin_name > Global Settings > Accounts > Account Details, select Change Password, enter your current password followed by a new password string in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields, and then select Save.

If you do not want to change the passwords at this time, you can use the default passwords.
