An NTP (Network Time Protocol) server profile consists of a profile name and description, the IP addresses or host names of up to four NTP servers, and the interval for devices to synchronize their system clocks with the NTP servers listed in the profile.

For related information, see NTP Server.

The NTP Server Profiles list displays see the following properties for existing NTP server profiles:

In addition to viewing NTP server profile assignments, you can add new NTP server profiles, and modify, clone, and delete previously configured ones. Note that you cannot delete an NTP profile if it is assigned to a network policy or VGVA.

Add an NTP Server Profile

To create an NTP server profile, select ADD, configure the profile settings, and then save your configuration. For details about configuring an NTP server profile, see NTP Server.

Modify an NTP Server Profile

To modify an NTP server profile, select its check box and then select Image of the Edit icon or select its name. Make your edits and save them. The edits you make to the profile will affect its use in all network policies and VGVAs that reference it.

Clone an NTP Server Profile

You can also clone an existing NTP server profile, rename it, and modify the settings in the new profile.

To clone an existing object, select the check box for the object you want to clone, and select . Enter the name of the new object and select Clone.

Delete One or More NTP Server Profiles

To delete one or more NTP server profiles, select the check box of the ones you want to delete and then select Image of the Delete icon.

You can only delete an NTP server profile if it is not currently assigned to a network policy or VGVA. The number in the Used By column indicates the number of assignments for each profile, and you can see the objects to which it is assigned by hovering your cursor over that number. First edit whatever network policies and VGVAs reference the NTP server profile to unlink it from them, and then you can delete it.
