Managing VLAN Groups
View, add, and modify user profile VLAN groups.
Navigate using the tab icons. Hover over an icon to see the name of the tab.
Configure > Common Objects > Basic > VLAN Group
VLAN groups combine multiple VLANs as a single common object. You create a VLAN group and then bind the group to a user profile. VLAN groups help support wireless traffic for a greater number of clients and ensure that new subnets become available as the number of devices in the network increases. The user profile is updated to accommodate all VLANs in the group. Users are assigned VLANs and have access to subnets to distribute the client load. VLAN groups help minimize broadcast traffic.
Navigate to Configure > Common Objects > Basic> VLAN Group. Select ADD. Complete the fields in the dialog box, and then select Save.
Name: Enter a name for this VLAN group.
VLANs: Enter a range, or multiple ranges of VLANs for this group. VLAN ranges cannot overlap.
Description: Enter an optional description for this VLAN group.
Select the check box for a VLAN group that you want to clone, and then select . Enter a name for the cloned group, and select Clone.
To modify an existing VLAN group, select the check box for the group you want to modify, then select . Make your modifications and select Save.
To delete a VLAN group, select the check box for the VLAN group, select and confirm the deletion.
