ExtremeCloud IQ Virtual Appliance Management Console

In this topic, you can find information about the IQ Virtual Appliance Management Console.

To access the IQ Virtual Appliance Management Console, you can enter the IP address or FQDN into your browser address bar and append the address with :3000 to connect to the management console on port 3000.

Enter the following default credential when prompted to log in:

User name: admin

Password: aerohive

System

The System tab contains configuration controls that allow you to view resource usage, configure settings, and manage upgrades and services for IQ Virtual Appliance.

Resources

This section provides a concise overview of the resource footprint for your IQ Virtual Appliance instance.

CPU Usage: This line graph indicates the historical amount of CPU usage as a percentage, and displays 15 minutes of historical data.

Mem Usage: This line graph display the amount of physical memory that IQ Virtual Appliance is using as a percentage of the total physical memory. Both the total physical (Total) memory and the amount of available (Free) memory are displayed above the graph.

Disk Usage: The Disk Usage pie graph displays the amount of disk space used (red) and the amount that is available (Free; green)

Network Settings

You can configure you general network settings here.

IP Address: Enter the static IP address that you want to assign to the IQ Virtual Appliance.

Netmask: Enter the network submask.

Gateway: Enter the default gateway IP address.

DNS Server: Enter the IP address of the DNS server you want IQ Virtual Appliance to use for DNS lookups.

Host Name: Enter the FQDN (fully qualified domain name) of IQ Virtual Appliance.

HM Upgrade

To upgrade IQ Virtual Appliance, click Upload, choose the upgrade package, and then click OK.

Reboot

You have the option of rebooting the system or of restarting all running services. Choose the reboot option, and then click Reboot.

Restart all services: Select to reboot all running services. You cannot reboot individual services. Rebooting only the services is faster that rebooting the system because it skips the typical system bootup process.

Reboot system: Select to reboot IQ Virtual Appliance. Rebooting the system also resets memory, but takes longer that rebooting the services because the reboot process also includes the system bootup process.

Service

In this section you can view the status of all IQ Virtual Appliance services.

Status

Each service process occupies a line in the Status table with the name of the service in the left column and a colored status marker for each service in the right column:

Green: A green status marker indicates that the service is running.

Yellow: A flashing yellow marker indicates that the service is starting.

Red: A red status marker indicates that the services is stopped.
