By default, all ports are configured to the authentication disabled state. When enabled, the default key is used until otherwise configured. If the authentication fails, the Fabric Attach information is dropped whether or not authentication is enabled on the receiving port.
To set up Fabric Attach authentication, use the following command:
configure fabric attach ports [port_list | all] authentication [ disable | enable | key {key | default | encrypted encrypted_key}]
You can set up authentication using either of the following methods:
Be sure to configure authentication in the same manner on all applicable servers, proxies, and clients; and with MLAGs (Fabric Attach Support over Multi-switch Link Aggregation Groups (MLAGs)) on both peers.
