show ports statistics ospf main

Use statistics to help you monitor Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) performance.

Syntax

Command Parameters

{slot/port[/sub-port][-slot/port[/sub-port]][,...][slot/all][all]}

Identifies the slot and port in one of the following formats:

  • a single slot and port (slot/port)

  • a range of slots and ports (slot/port-slot/port)

  • a series of slots and ports (slot/port,slot/port,slot/port)

  • all ports on the same slot (slot/all)

  • all ports on the switch (all)

If the platform supports channelization and the port is channelized, you must also specify the sub-port in the format slot/port/sub-port.

Usage Guidelines

This command provides values for brouter port implementations. For IP protocol-based VLAN interface statistics, use show ip ospf ifstats.

Command Output

The show ports statistics ospf main command displays the following information:

Output field

Description

PORT NUM

Indicates the port number.

RX_HELLO

Indicates the number of hello packets this interface receives.

TX_HELLO

Indicates the number of hello packets this interface transmitted.

RXDB_DESCR

Indicates the number of database descriptor packets this interface receives.

TXDB_DESCR

Indicates the number of database descriptor packets this interface transmitted.

RXLS_UPDATE

Indicates the number of link state update packets this interface receives.

TXLS_UPDATE

Indicates the number of link state update packets this interface transmitted.
