Syntax

• default ip vrrp <1-255> critical-ip-addr

• ip vrrp <1-255> critical-ip-addr {A.B.C.D}

Command Parameters

<1-255>

Specifies a unique integer value that represents the virtual router ID. The virtual router acts as the default router for one or more assigned addresses.

<A.B.C.D>

Specifies the critical IP address for VRRP. A.B.C.D is the IP address on the local router, which is configured so that a change in its state causes a role switch in the virtual router (for example, from master to backup in case the interface goes down).
