ip vrrp <1-255> backup-master enable

Syntax

• default ip vrrp <1-255> backup-master enable

• ip vrrp <1-255> backup-master enable

• no ip vrrp <1-255> backup-master enable

Command Parameters

<1-255>

Specifies a unique integer value that represents the virtual router ID. The virtual router acts as the default router for one or more assigned addresses.

Default

The default is disabled.

This option is supported only on Split MultiLink Trunking (SMLT) ports.

Do not enable Backup Master if critical IP is enabled.
