Configuring Fabric over
SD-WAN
Fabric Support is a feature that simplifies the management and connectivity of the networks. It offers network setup with zero touch deployment. With this feature, Extreme Fabric Switches automatically establish Fabric Extend tunnels over the SD-WAN infrastructure. Use the following task to enable Fabric Support and configure Fabric Support over SD-WAN.
Warning: When you enable Fabric Support, all existing configurations of SD-WAN appliances are deleted.
Fabric Support
- Navigate to Settings > Policy Configuration.
- Select Edit.
- Select Fabric with IPv4.
A warning message of device configurations reset appears. - Confirm to enable the Fabric Support option to activate its functions on your SD-WAN appliances. For more information, refer to Fabric Connect.
- Fabric Extend IP Network: In the Fabric Extend IP Network field, enter the IPv4 address for the global subnet. This IPv4 address automatically allocates subnets to each LAN interface.
- Export Management IP Address: Select Export Management IP Address to export the management IP address for NTP and SSH on LAN.
- Fabric Local Breakout Settings: Local breakout settings are disabled by default. You can also enable or disable local breakout for individual appliances.
- Select Fabric Local Breakout Settings to expand the section.
- Add prefixes that are required for local breakout. These are destination IP addresses to which traffic needs to break out locally.
- To add a prefix, type the prefix address and select Add Prefix.
- To remove a prefix, select the delete icon next to the prefix.
- Configure the IP Connectivity Tracker: The IP connectivity tracker enables the SD-WAN solution in fabric mode to verify internet connectivity for local breakout traffic.
- Target: IP address of the target device
- Retry: Retry count (default 3)
- Interval: in seconds (default 10)
You can set up High Availability (HA) for Fabric LBO under LAN configuration. For more information, see "Configuring Appliances"
Note: With Fabric Support, the WAN Interfaces may be either in Router Mode or in Bridge Mode.
For more information about Fabric Support, refer to the Fabric Engine User Guide and ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine User Guide

- WAN Optimization
- Link State Propagation
- Routing Loop Prevention
- BGP, OSPF, HA
- DHCP Service
- Dynamic LAN Routing
- LAN2
- Syslog Server
Appliance Configuration
