Abstract

The VOSS 9.1 Release Notes introduce key upgrades, including the Anycast IP Gateway for active-active routing with shortest path forwarding. Client Visibility is enhanced with Node Alias for end system discovery and DHCP Fingerprinting for detailed device identification. Fabric improvements include Flex UNI interface enhancements and IS-IS external route preferences with tagging for redistributed routes to optimize routing efficiency. ExtremeCloud SD-WAN integration adds support for local breakout of internet traffic and VRF configurations. Security upgrades include OCSP support for RADSec certificates and improved certificate validation processes. General enhancements include dynamic ACL action "count" for ACEs, extended MLT name lengths, and separate rate-limiting for unknown unicast traffic. The release also incorporates updates from VOSS 9.0.3, including multi-area enhancements for VSP 7400 series switches and auto-sense support for boundary nodes.
