Null authentication is used when validated identification is not required. A user normally just agrees to terms of service, but is optional based on IT policy. A null authentication source is predefined in the set of external authentication sources. The fields in the null source authentication are:

| Name | The name of the authentication source. | null |
| Description | A description of the purpose of the null authentication source. | Just requires terms of service |
| Email required | If enabled, the user will be prompted for an email address on the web portal form. |
