Introduction

This release memo highlights the X.25 and frame relay capabilities offered in the X.25/Frame Relay Software License Option for the Model 3800 Multi-media Router, P/N L727-03. With the purchase of this option, the user obtains the right to use the Model 3800’s support of the X.25 wide-area networking protocol and the IETF RFC 1294, "Multiprotocol Interconnect over Frame Relay" protocol.

X.25 and frame relay support is fully functional and available to the user at initial configuration and startup of the Model 3800 multimedia router. There is no software key (password) required to enable this support.
