=================================================================== REVISION NOTES FOR SITE MANAGER VERSION 7.02 REVISION 1 =================================================================== Site Manager Version 7.02 Revision 1 is a post 5.00 revision. This version is backwards compatible and supports the following BayRS (router software) versions: 13.02 13.01 13.00 12.03 12.02 12.01 11.03 11.02 11.01 11.00 Note: When running revisions of BayRS in conjunction with a fix version of Site Manager, be aware that there may be new MIB attributes that were added in a router revision that are not supported in a Site Manager revision. Refer to the Revision Notes for both Site Manager and BayRS software. 7.02 Revision 1 is Year 2000 Compliance Certified by Bay Networks. It has successfully passed Bay Networks Test Procedure which tests conformance to Bay Networks Year 2000 compliance definition, both of which can be found at Bay Networks Year 2000 Web site at http://www.baynetworks.com/year2000/. =================================================================== 7.02 Revision 1 corrects the following problems: =================================================================== CR 24449: DECnet Site Manager allows user to dynamically set the global DECnet parameter Max Area to be lower than the highest configured areas. CR 26224: IP Site Manager does not allow you to change an IP address when editing a circuit. The following error message is displayed even when multiple IP interfaces are properly configured on the router: "A single IP interface is currently configured. Multiple IP interfaces must be configured to perform the change operation" CR 30151: SWSERV After dynamically deleting a demand pool using Site Manager, an instance of the object wfModemEntry is not deleted. CR 32476: DLSw When configuring DLSw on a token ring interface: 1) If you add DLSw to the second, third or fourth token interface on a slot, the Slot IP address should not pop up or it should be greyed out. 2) If DLSw is already configured on a token ring interface, and you add DLSw to another token interface on that slot, if Source Route Bridging has already been configured on the interface, no screens should pop up. CR 83214: Events Manager Event viewer filters not working properly for local log in Site Manager. CR 86559: MOSPF Circuitless IP interfaces on an OSPF router should only be set to Blocked for multicast forwarding interfaces. CR 93470: IGMP When deleting DVMRP from the circuit using Site Manager, IGMP is also deleted from the circuit. CR 93788: PPP When configuring HSSI, you are able to set the Bandwidth Allocation percentages to total other than 100%. CR 94906: Protocol Priority When configuring an outbound filter template (Protocol Priority) Site Manager produces an erroneous message "Minimum value greater than maximum value!" when the minimum field contains a value less than the maximum field. CR 96379: Config Updated window titles from "Bay Networks" to "Nortel Networks." CR 97381: X.25 The X.25 Call User Data (CUD) field does not accept all possible/needed hex values. CR 97682: DLSw When adding DLSw to a token ring interface, Site Manager does not properly configure the DLSw global parameters LAN ID, Bridge ID, and does not configure DLSw interface LAN ID. If these values are not properly set, DLSw sends data with incorrect RIF information and DLSw is unable to form a connection. CR 98174: File Manager Site Manager does not allow you to save file names that contain numbers. CR 98289: ATM Emulated LAN Segment ID does not show up when opened in Site Manager. CR 98525: DLSw A DLSw Slot IP address gets reset just by viewing it using Site Manager for Windows. CR 98917: IP Using Site Manager to configure an existing ATM service record, Router Discovery can either not be deleted (if it was added when the service record was created) or cannot be added (if it was initially not added when the service record was created). CR 99801: SMDS When configuring SMDS on a Fractional T1 module using the IP Interface screen, Site Manager does not allow you to configure the SMDS Group Address or the SMDS Arp Request Address. CR 100499: Protocol priority Protocol Priority disappears in Site Manager when adding protocols to a PVC that has been moved from one service record to another. CR 100531: ATM After adding a PVC to a PVC service record and changing the PCR and subsequently changing the SCR to 0 an MCP error occurs on the ARE. CR 100955: IP When adding an adjacent host, the following incorrect error message appears: A Local IP Interface cannot be on same Subnet as Adjacent Host. The message should say: An Adjacent Host must be on the same Subnet as the local IP Interface. CR 101531: SRB After configuring a circuit for DLSw, the Source Route Global window does not display when adding source routing on a different circuit. CR 101675: SNMP Using Report Generator on a router configured with the BOT (Binary Synchronous Communication over TCP/IP) feature produces garbled text in the Line Mapping Entry table (wfLineMappingEntry.4). CR 101783: Compression When configuring a WAN interface for frame relay or PPP with WCP in local mode on a BCN or BLN that has a FRE2-060E/Advanced Compression Co-Processor Daughter Board, Site Manager will not allow "Hardware" as the engine type with QMCT1 in local or remote mode. CR 102056: SNMP On a router running Site Manager for Windows, if you connect to the router with a read-write community string and try to edit the configuration file dynamically, a dialog box warns you that the SNMP Community is read only and you cannot edit the file. CR 102541: Frame relay Using Site Manager to add DLCIs to a frame relay circuit on a router running BayRS 11.0x code causes an SNMP set error. CR 102868: ATM When deleting an ATM PVC service record, Site Manager performs two MIB sets which causes a variety of router faults. CR 103019: Frame relay In the Frame Relay PVC List for Service window, Site Manager sets the Circuit State Set to Active when it should be Inactive. CR 103197: SRB After adding source route bridging (SRB) to an ATM PVC and then looking at the SRB global attributes there is no window title for the Global attributes. If you go back to the "Configuration Manager" window and select Protocols -> Source Routing -> Global, the window that pops up has a title of "Edit Source Routing Global Parameters." |
