EFA Installation and Upgrade

You can install and upgrade EFA in single-node environments, in multi-node high-availability environments, and on a TPVM. You can also upgrade from a single-node to a multi-node deployment.

Upgrade support varies by software version. Upgrading from version 2.3.x to any later version is supported. Support for upgrades from versions earlier than version 2.3.x is described in the "Supported Upgrade Paths" topic in the Extreme Fabric Automation Deployment Guide.

Note

Although the upgrade process allows you do to so, do not upgrade from secure mode to standard mode.
