INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
===========================================================================

The default install location for Enterprise NMS DIT packages is:
Unix ($OITHOME): /usr/dit
Windows 2003 (%OITHOME%): <DRIVE_LETTER>:\ENMS\DIT

All installation commands are relative to the directory containing the
extracted (un-tarred or un-zipped) DIT package. The following commands
should be executed in that directory.

Manual installation on UNIX
-----------------------------------------
1. Log into Enterprise NMS workstation as root (su command).

2. Open a shell window and prepare your user environment with one of
   the following commands:
source /opt/lnms/bin/opt_cshrc (for csh and tcsh)
    OR
. /opt/lnms/bin/opt_kshrc (for sh or ksh)

3. Create a temporary directory for the DIT package.
     For example: mkdir /temp

4. Navigate to the directory you just created and download/copy DIT package
to this location. Uncompress and untar the package using

	uncompress NMS_ERS4548GT_PWR_v510_A.tar.Z
	tar -xvf NMS_ERS4548GT_PWR_v510_A.tar

5. At the command prompt, type
	       ./install

6. You are asked if you want to backup the existing databases. Choose yes
   or no.

The installation script runs and copies various files (*.gif, *.mdb,
*.dat, etc.) into the appropriate directories. Finally, the ditInstall
utility is run to add Ethernet Routing Switch 4548GT-PWR support into
   Enterprise NMS.

Manual installation on Windows
-----------------------------------------------
1. On your workstation, log in as administrator

2. Download and Copy the DIT package (a self-extracting archive) into
   <Drive>:\enms\DIT\temp

3. Execute the DIT package file so that all the files in the package are
extracted. The files are extracted in the directory
   <Drive>:\enms\DIT\temp\NMS_ERS4548GT_PWR_v510_A

4. Open a command window.

5. Navigate to the directory that was created
   ( cd <Drive>:\enms\DIT\temp\NMS_ERS4548GT_PWR_v510_A )

6. At the command prompt type
       install.bat

The installation script runs and copies various files (*.gif, *.mdb,
*.dat, etc.) into the appropriate directories. Finally, the ditInstall
utility is run to add Ethernet Routing Switch 4548GT-PWR switch
   support into Enterprise NMS.

Automated install using DITAdmin Tool on both UNIX and Windows
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Run ditadmin tool (packaged with NMS), at the command prompt by
   typing (on Unix and Windows)
	       ditadmin

2. Download the DIT package and make sure that the package is located at:
	<Drive>:\enms\DIT (on Windows)
  	/opt/dit (on UNIX)

3. Select Tools->Install Component... menuitem.

                port is active
The same issue appears for ERS 4500 series.
(3) Q01802400 - No info for XFP ports in DIV for ERS 4526GTX in
                standalone/stack mode
(4) Q01802418 - No info for XFP ports in EV-Logical View for ERS 4526GTX in
                mix stack config
