Site Manager Revision 4.01/Revision 2

Site Manager Revision 4.01/Revision 2 is a post 4.00 revision. This version
is backwards compatible and supports the following router versions:

      10.01
      10.0
      9.00
      8.10
      8.01

Note: When running revisions of router software in conjunction with
a fix version of Site Manager, be aware that there may be new MIB
attributes that were added in a router revision that are not supported
in a Site Manager revision. Refer to the revision notes for both Site
Manager and router software.

=============================================================================
4.01 Revision 2 corrects the following problems:
=============================================================================

CR 26940: Configuration.
After having configured 16 X.25 services using Site Manager 4.00
for Windows, you cannot edit IP interfaces in Local mode or Dynamic
          mode.

CR 24616: Converter.
Report Generator does not recognize IPX static services.

CR 26245: Configuration.
Reordering of large IP Traffic Filters causes fragment instances
to be deleted, thereby causing the filter to become inactive.

CR 26378: Event.
You cannot create an Events Filter in Site Manager on the correct
slot if you select slot 8 or higher.

CR 24240: Configuration.
When configuring DLSw and then attempting to edit the Local Device
Configuration window, the DLSw Mode field does not exist.
This can cause all the other fields to accept the default value
          of the preceding field.

CR None: MCI.
Dynamically adding a local device to a multidrop SDLC line does
not work because the PRI 1 required two SAP fields and MAC
addresses to be set on the Local Device screen.

CR 27359: ASN2.
When you attempt to edit the DLSw filter, the router displays an
          invalid filter definition message.

CR None: Report Generator.
rpt2cfg cannot convert the IPX static service record instance ID
         and the server name.
.

=============================================================================
4.01 Revision 1 corrects the following problems:
=============================================================================

CR 23859: Site Manager-- Configuration.
When you use Site Manager 4.00 to open an existing 8.10
configuration file, it fails if you have enabled Redundant
Interface Support on an IPX RIP Interface. The Select Router
Model prompt is displayed, and all slots appear empty.

CR 25992: SM-BNX.
The BNX Site Manager software does not allow you to select
Slot 14 for the default volume for FTP. This problem occurred when
performing the following steps using the BNX Site Manager
          software:

Protocols -> Global -> FTP -> Global -> Highlight "Default Volume"
          -> Click on values

          Slot 14 was not available.

CR 25734: Frame Relay Switch.
When creating an ATM circuit and then creating circuitless IP,
the IP address specified for the ATM circuit gets inserted in the
          circuitless IP screen.

CR 25829: BNX_SM.
Selecting Line Byte Count from the Options menu on the BNX Site
Manager Configuration Manager screen displayed a circuit list that
implied that a user could gather statistics for an ATM circuit.
Gathering Line Byte Count data for an ATM circuit is not supported.

CR 25181: SM-BNX.
An attempt to use the BNX Site Manager software to delete Frame
Relay Switching services from an existing synchronous circuit and
then reconfigure Frame Relay Switching on the circuit failed. The
Site Manager software returned the message: "Duplicate IP address".

CR 25035: SM-Statistics.
When using Site Manager to build and launch a customized screen to
display a circuit name and attributes of the MIB object
wfLogicalLineTable in circuit mode, the Version 6.0 and Version
6.1 Site Manager software displays the following message for
          every column in the screen.

"An invalid object wfLogicalLineCct was found in the circuit mode
screen file. This object belongs to a group without a circuit
identifier (for example, a Table or Base Record). This object
will be omitted from this screen. (A8400)"

CR 25131: SM-Configuration.
Circuitless IP can become unconfigurable from Site Manager
[HDR#69]. This problem occurred when a user connected to a
BNX in dynamic mode using a circuitless IP address and then
accidentally deleted the circuitless IP address. When the user
reconnected to the BNX in dynamic mode through an Ethernet port
or trunk line, an attempt to read the circuitless IP address
          failed.

CR 19364: SM-Statistics.
The Statistics Manager Screen Launch program sometimes generates
a series of error messages to standard output ("POLLER:SnmpReceive
returned error - SNMP Packet too big."), followed by an error
message ("Poll Time Out") in a dialog box. This causes the
          wflaunch executable to fault.

CR 23651: SM-Configuration.
Entering an IPX static service name for a NDS Directory Tree
causes a General Protection Fault (GPF) to occur in module
WFCFG.EXE at 000A:6780 in PC Site Manager. This error occurs in
          dynamic, remote, and local modes.

CR 25213: SM-Configuration.
Dynamically deleting a direct mode service record
configured with WCP unloads WCP for all other services.

CR 24050: SM-Configuration.
The 'change lines' function in the Circuit Definition window
does not change Token Ring interfaces configured with LLC2.
Site Manager terminates when it attempts to delete the LLC2
          portion of a moved circuit.

CR 25109: X.25.
Setting the Negotiation flag to ON in the X.25 packet
layer and setting the maximum packet size to 64 causes SVC
          initialization failure on the router.

CR None: SM-BNX.
When you select the Protocols->Protocol Priority menu from the
Demand Circuit List screen, the Edit Protocol Priority menu item
appears twice. This screen should appear only once.

CR 25839: SM-Configuration.
When you use Site Manager 4.00 to open an existing 8.10
configuration file, it fails if you have enabled Redundant
Interface Support on an IPX RIP Interface. The Select Router
Model prompt is displayed, and all slots appear empty.

CR 24941: SM-Configuration.
When you enter Protocols-> SDLC-> Link Stations, the Reply to Timer
(Sec) field in the SDLC Link Stations Config screen
incorrectly states that the units are seconds, while the
help description states that the default is 30 tenths of a second.

CR 25776: SM-Configuration.
The SDLC link station configuration parameter "Reply to Timer"
and several parameters that follow are not blanked out on an SDLC
          secondary link.

CR 24942: SM-Configuration.
Pre-Activation Contact Frame on the host side (configured
secondary) is shown as a configurable item. This field should be
          inactive (grayed out).

CR 24250: HSSI.
Added the new MIB attribute wfHssiCarrLossDebounceTmo to support
HSSI lines. This attribute determines how many seconds to wait
before transitioning to the Carrier Lost state when the carrier
signal is lost. When you set this attribute to 0 (default), the
driver immediately transitions to the lost state upon detecting
carrier loss. If the carrier signal returns before reaching this
threshold, the driver will not enter the Carrier Lost state.

CR 20702: X.25.
When modifying X.25 Packet Level parameters, Site Manager
allows you to enter a value between 1 and 127 for window sizes,
regardless of whether the sequencing is MOD8 or MOD128.
When using MOD8 sequencing, you must enter a value between
          1 and 7 packets.

CR 26231: Frame Relay Switch.
BNX 6.1 Site Manager does not display switch date and time
correctly for the year 2000. After you set the switch date and time
to the year 2000 and select Switch Date and Time, BNX displays the
year as 01, which represents the year 2001. The date and time
was set correctly on the switch.

CR 25776: DLSw.
When you enter DLSw-->Local Devices-->Link Details, the following
message displays even though you have not defined an address
          for the interface:

"interface with this address () has already been defined"

CR None: IP.
Added new predefined fields for inbound and outbound IP traffic
         filters.

         IP Source and Destination Address
         ---------------------------------
This predefined field allows you to filter on IP source and
destination addresses at the same time. It contains an Offset value
or 96, a Length value of 64, and a Reference value of 0.

         Established TCP
         ---------------
This predefined field contains a Offset value of 107, a Length value
of 3, and a Reference value of 1. The following predefined ranges
allow filtering on the ACK bit and the RESET bit in the TCP header:

1-1 <--- ACK bit must be set to 1
3-4 <--- PUSH bit is an unaffected condition
6-6 <--- RESET bit must be set to 1

         TCP or UDP Source Port
         ----------------------
This field sets up TCP or UDP source ports at the same time. Use
this field to filter on TCP or UDP packets. This field contains
a Reference value of 1, an Offset value of 0, and a Length value
         of 16.

         TCP or UDP Destination Port
         ---------------------------
This field sets up TCP or UDP destination ports at the same time.
Use this field to filter on TCP or UDP packets. This field contains
a Reference value of 1, an Offset value of 16, and a Length value
         of 16.

CR None: ATM.
Enhancement request for ATM that allows you to configure protocol
         priority on an interface.
