REVISION NOTES FOR SITE MANAGER VERSION 7.01 REVISION 1



Site Manager Version 7.01 Revision 1 is a post 5.00 revision. This version is backwards compatible and supports the following BayRS (router software) versions:

Note: When running revisions of BayRS in conjunction with a fix version of Site Manager, be aware that there may be new MIB attributes that were added in a router revision that are not supported in a Site Manager revision. Refer to the Revision Notes for both Site Manager and BayRS software.

7.01 Revision 1 is Year 2000 Compliance Certified by Bay Networks. It has successfully passed Bay Networks Test Procedure which tests conformance to Bay Networks Year 2000 compliance definition, both of which can be found at Bay Networks Year 2000 Web site at http://www.baynetworks.com/year2000/.


7.01 Revision 1 corrects the following problems:



CR 25093: IP
You cannot delete the static route if the next hop is an IP unnumbered address.

CR 32612: TFTP
If you use Site Manager to delete TFTP from a router then to dynamically check the TFTP parameters, Site Manager will fault.

CR 32647: TFTP
If you delete TFTP from a router and then create a new IP interface, Site Manager incorrectly loads TFTP on all router slots.

CR 35072: TFTP
Using Site Manager, you can use TFTP to transfer files only from the working directory.

CR 35360: Switched Services
When editing a configuration dynamically, after adding Hot Standby as a secondary circuit, the primary circuit IP connection goes down.

CR 35732: Switched Services
The outbound phone number attributes in a configuration file are corrupted when you use the Report Generator to examine a configuration containing the outbound phone number attributes.

CR 36084: N/A
The BOFL Timeout Divisor field does not appear in Site Manager 6.0 Revision 2 and higher when used with BayRS Version 12.0 and above.

CR 72741: SNMP
When running Site Manager on Windows 95, an SNMP set loop can cause your PC to lock up.

CR 75417: IP
Site Manager fails to inform you know whether a configuration file has been saved or not.

CR 78305: SNMP
When you try to add an SNMP trap exception using Site Manager 6.00 and above and BayRS 11.02 and above, you get an error message.

CR 79896: Dial Services
A menu in the Dial Services product documentation does not distinguish between the Save buttons that appear for a hot standby versus a redundant hot standby configuration.

CR 80006: BootP
When running Site Manager Version 5.03, you are not able to configure the BootP Relay Agent Interface Table parameters for the router.

CR 80826: Site Manager
Enhancement request to increase the number of configuration files you can view in a single directory in Site Manager. The current limit is 500.

CR 81176: Syslog
Site Manager 6.20 running on Windows 95 or NT is creating instances with wrong event numbers in the Syslog utility of a Unix host.

CR 81675: Interface redundancy
Running Site Manager on SunOS 4.0, an interface redundancy instance is created on a circuit when you select the Change Lines option to change the circuit name.

CR 81770: Frame Relay
Site Manager fails to update the MIB variable CircuitNameEntry for frame relay.

CR 82245: Report Generator
When you run the Report Generator smcfgrpt command from the command line (versus Site Manager), a core dump occurs.

CR 83757: Multiline
When making changes to a multiline circuit using Site Manager on Windows 95, Site Manager generates a WFCFG program error.

CR 84308: ISDN
Site Manager does not allow you to configure a dial backup line. The PhoneOut menu also lists ISDN as the only choice under Dial Type.

CR 84371: OSPF
Site Manager lets you enter a non-contiguous network mask when you are configuring policy filters for a router.

CR 84743: ATM
The Configuration Manager exits when you change the "elan name" and "elan type" fields after configuring protocols for a LEC using Site Manager.

CR 84909: DVMRP
Using Site Manager to configure DVMRP/IGMP/IGMP Relay on an OSPF interface causes the router to fault.

CR 85381: N/A
When using Site Manager to configure GRE and the tunnel name is more than 20 characters, the Statistics Manager does not display the data correctly in the IP Address field.

CR 85799: Source Route Bridge
When you incorrectly configure the SRB protocol over a hybrid PVC and then try to delete the configuration, the router faults.

CR 85964: IP
Editing a disabled traffic filter using Site Manager 5.02 or higher automatically enables it on the router.

CR 86105: ISDN
Site Manager 6.00 or higher closes the Configuration window when you select the ISDN BRI U Interface card.

CR 86294: N/A
When using Site Manager on Solaris to configure router redundancy, you cannot save any changes to the configuration file between Versions 7.00 and 7.10.

CR 86415: X.25
The Site Manager Circuit Protocols list shows IPV6 after you configure IPEX.

CR 86574: TFTP
You cannot start Remote or Cache configuration mode using Site Manager 7.00 or BayRS 13.00.

CR 87042: NAT
After you delete NAT from all router interfaces, previously defined static entries appear in the MIB.

CR 87245: ATM
The SVC Inactivity timer can be set to an invalid value in both the BCC and Site Manager.

CR 87278: PROTPRI
When you delete Protocol Priority from the Select Protocol list window, Site Manager does not delete Protocol Priority from the Configuration Manager -> Protocols menu.

CR 87330: BGP
Site Manager does not allow you to set "ignore" for an AS routing loop in a BGP configuration.

CR 88636: File system
Cache mode does not overwrite an existing file in the router’s flash
memory.

CR 88773: IPX
Users are not allowed to enable or disable checksums for IPX interfaces using Site Manager.

CR 88873: ISDN
Site Manager does not show the "B" or the "D" on the ISDN interface button for Dial backup or Dial on Demand circuits for an ARN router.

CR 89391: DCM
When you change the object support parameter from RMON2 to RMON in the Edit Base Module DCM Parameters window, Site Manager faults.

CR 89993: IP
The following text from an IP traffic filter pop-up window contains multiple typographical errors:
