Abstract

This release notes document for ExtremeCloud™ IQ (Classic) version 25.9.0-36 provides an intermediate-to-advanced technical overview of enhancements, fixes, known issues, and supported platforms for cloud-managed wired and wireless networking deployments. It describes new functionality such as mandatory Legacy Entitlement Key conversion messaging, automatic AP-to-AP 802.11mc FTM ranging for 6 GHz deployments in supported regions, and expanded onboarding, monitoring, configuration, and image management support for EXOS/Switch Engine 33.5–33.6.x and VOSS/Fabric Engine 9.2.3 and 9.3.2. The document details operational guidance for device onboarding, firmware lifecycle management, inventory and licensing workflows, SSO integration, and large-scale inventory performance considerations. It summarizes addressed defects across account management, device management, alerts, logging, UI, and upgrades, and documents known limitations affecting LAG templates, GRE failover, AFC visibility, 6 GHz regulatory behavior, API responses, and supplemental CLI precedence.
