Network Time

System administrators can configure network time and the NTP servers. Go to Administration > System > Network Time.

System Time

Displays the time in accordance with the Time Zone setting.

Time Zone Settings

Manually configure time zone setting for the System Time. First, search for a time zone, then select Save to manually change system date and time.

The Etc/UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and Etc/GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) time zones are available options.
Select the Display Times Using System Time Zone check box to view Logs with time stamps based on the current time zone setting.

This setting will not persist when using a browser's incognito mode or if an organization has a policy where the browser cache is automatically cleared when the browser window closes.

Network Time

Check NTP/SNTP to configure servers for Network Time Protocol (NTP) or Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP).

NTP and SNTP are Internet Standard Protocols that assures accurate synchronization to the millisecond of computer clock times in a network of computers.

NTP/SNTP Reachable

An icon indicates if the NTP/SNTP server is reachable:
  • Green. The server is reachable.
  • Red. The server is not reachable. Check your NTP/SNTP server settings. ExtremeCloud IQ Controller has lost connectivity.

Network Time settings on each appliance of an availability pair must be identical for the configuration update process to be successful.
