Device Templates
View, add, sort, select, and delete device template objects.
Navigate using the tab icons. Hover over an icon to see the name of the tab.

A device template allows you to configure the default port settings and other device functions for a specific Extreme Networks model using a diagram of the physical ports. For example, after you configure a device template for a specific device type, you can then assign various port types to the device ports. You can then apply this device template, and its configuration settings, to large numbers of devices of the same type. You can apply different device templates to other devices in the same network policy. By default, each network policy contains all of the templates that represent device models supported by ExtremeCloud IQ. See AP Templates.
Note
Each network policy has only one template corresponding to each device model. To update devices with different configurations for the same model, you must create a new network policy or modify an existing policy, and then configure a new template.For detailed Information on how to configure device templates for supported device models, see AP Templates.
