5420M-24W-24S-4YE Universal Ethernet Switch

5420 Series adds support for the following new model, 5420M-24W-24S-4YE. The 5420M-24W-24S-4YE provides the following ports:

  • 24 x 10/100/1000BASE-T full/half duplex 802.3bt Type 4 PoE (90W)
  • 24 x 100M/1 Gbps SFP
  • 4 x 1/10/25 Gbps SFP28
  • All ports support MACsec
  • 2 x SFP-DD Universal Ethernet ports

In addition to the fixed ports, the 5420M-24W-24S-4YE model provides one RJ-45 OOB management port, one USB Type C console port, two Type A USB ports, and one RJ-45 serial console port.

7830 Series Universal Ethernet Switch

Extreme Networks 7830 Series is a two rack unit switch with the fixed ports in the lower half of the switch and Versatile Interface Modules (VIM) slots in the upper half of the switch. The 7830 Series provides high-density 100 Gbps and 400 Gbps ports, which enable scalable Fabric and traditional Enterprise deployments.

You can install the following VIMs in the dedicated slots in the upper half of the 7830 Series switch to provide dedicated high speed ports:

7830 Series supports two removable, fully redundant power supply units. The switch can support AC, DC, or a combination of both AC and DC power supplies.

You can use the following 2400W power supplies:

The 7830 Series supports two fan module options, with front-to-back or back-to-front airflow:

  • XN-FAN-007-FB—front-to-back airflow for switch cooling

  • XN-FAN-007-BF—back-to-front airflow for switch cooling

In addition to the fixed ports, the 7830 Series provides one Type A USB interface port, one RJ-45 console port, and two management ports (SFP+ 1G/10G and 100M/1G/10G RJ-45) to provide management backup.
