DHCP Server Configuration

Complete the following tasks to configure a hosted DHCP Server within your network. With this configuration, the switch hosts the DHCP server.

Before You Begin

You must configure a management CLIP IP interface.
Plan the DHCP Server configuration. Many of the parameters are optional and you can apply them either globally, within a subnet, or to a specific host only.

1	Configure DHCP Server General Parameters	Optional. Configure global DHCP parameters for the DHCP Server.
2	Configure DHCP Custom Options	Optional. Configure non-standard DHCP options to provide to clients.
3	Configure Vendor Options or a Vendor Class	Optional. Configure a vendor class and vendor options.
4	Configure DHCP Subnet	Create DHCP subnets and configure per-subnet values, including an IP address pool.
5	Configure High Availability for the DHCP Server	Optional. Configure High Availability (HA) for the DHCP server. Repeat the configuration process on the peer switch.
6	Configure a Static DHCP Server Lease	Optional. Complete this procedure to reserve DHCP configurations, such as a specific IP address, for a static host.
7	Enable DHCP Server	Enable the DHCP server.

Complete the following optional tasks to configure vendor options and a vendor class.
