New Features

Extreme Fabric Automation 2.4.1 provides the following enhancements.

Table 1. Features and improvements
Feature Description

Endpoint group configuration

EFA does not distinguish between SRIOV (single-root input/output virtualization) and non-SRIOV connections. Therefore, it treats both connections the same way.

A new parameter, --single-homed-bfd-session-type, is available for the following commands:
  • efa tenant epg create
  • efa tenant epg update

With the new parameter, you can determine the session type for a BFD session formed over a CEP port.

The default type is auto, which means that the BFD session type is automatically determined based on whether the service type for the endpoint group is set to extension (software) or Layer 3 hand-off (hardware).

EFA 2.4.1 support
The following tables in Supported Platforms and Deployment Models are updated to include 2.4.1 or 2.4.x:
  • Bare Metal Deployment Models
  • OVA Deployment Models
  • TPVM Deployment Models
  • EFA, Neutron, and SLX-OS Compatibility
