Share

The information in this topic provides basic information about the Share button in the top-right corner of a dashboard.

For introductory information about using Tableau, see Viewing the Dashboards in Tableau.

Tableau provides you with the opportunity to share your View with other users who have access to the data.

To share a View with other users:

1. Click the Share button.
   
   The Share View window displays.
   
   
   
2. Share the View by entering a username or sending a link to the View:
   1. To share with specific Tableau users, enter the username of the users with which you are sharing the View in the Share with people field.
   2. To share by sending a link to the View, copy the link in the Share using a link field by clicking Copy Link and send it to the users with which you are sharing the View.
3. If you entered a username in the Share with people field, enter a message in the Message field, if necessary.
4. Click Share.

Click the button that corresponds to the format in which you are downloading the file.

The file is downloaded to your default downloads folder.
