Abstract

This release notes document for Extreme IQ Engine version 10.9.2, released September 2026, covers software for Extreme Networks wireless access points managed through ExtremeCloud IQ 25.14.0 and later. New features include AP5020 6 GHz neighbor reporting using Reduced Neighbor Report elements during 5 GHz background scanning, client IP address pool configuration extended to Tunnel Concentrator deployments, ICMP-based MTU detection for GRE and GRE-over-IPsec tunnels, and RADIUS traffic forwarding through Tunnel Concentrator tunnels with configurable source IP ranges. Six defects are addressed, including AP5020 6 GHz radio memory exhaustion blocking client associations, stale cached DNS resolution for RADIUS servers after failover, inflated ML Insight network usage reporting on AP4020/AP5010/AP5020 platforms, an AP4060 kernel panic during 6 GHz scanning, incorrect client counts with domain-qualified usernames, and channel/power settings misreporting as AUTO. One known issue persists: AP5010, AP5050D, and AP5050U devices may fail to boot with certain non-Extreme micro-USB cables; workaround is an Extreme Networks-certified cable or post-boot connection. No new hardware is supported in this release.
