Passwords must have 12–64 characters, including 1 upper case letter (A–Z), 1 lower case letter (a–b), 2 numbers (0–9), and 2 special characters ("^", "$", "#", "@", "!", "%", "&", "*", "(", ")", "-", "=", "_", "+", "|", ",", ".", "/", "<", ">", "?", ";", "~", "[", "]", "{", "}").
The ExtremeCloud IQ Controller Password Manager maintains user account passwords and the global password for SSH access to APs. It uses various mechanisms to prevent password re-use, and to monitor password expiry countdowns and issue password expiry notifications. The Password Manager manages and validates password resets.

The Accounts tab displays by default. Under this tab, the default system Administrator account and any other configured accounts are listed in tabular form. Accounts Table Column Headings describes the type of information displayed under the table column headings.

| Expires In | If the password expiry is set to a non-zero value, this column appears and displays the number of days remaining before the password associated with the user account expires. |
Above the Accounts table is the Password Expiry field, which displays the number of days allotted to the life of the password assigned to each user account, as well as the global password for SSH access to APs. The Password Manager uses the Password Expiry setting to calculate the expiry date of passwords, based on the date when the password was last set.
Choose from the following account management options:
Create a new account. Select Add, then proceed to Create an Administrator Account for further instructions.
Generate an API key to run Docker container applications, such as , which is required to associate an ExtremeCloud IQ Controller user account with a Docker application before running the application, or to delete an existing API key, select the target account from the list in the Accounts table to open the account details page. Select Generate New API Key. See
The generated key appears in the Access ID Key table. You can download the key and view it. To delete a key, select it from the list under the Access Key ID column, then select the trash can icon.
To change settings for an existing account, select the target account from the list in the Accounts table to open the account details page. Select Edit and modify the settings, then select Save. See Create an Administrator Account for information about account parameters and settings.

Note
All accounts except the default administrator account can be deleted.
