Use this procedure to add, modify, or delete SNMP notifications, and to define forward traps.
- Choose from the following actions:
- Go to and select a site to configure SNMP notifications for the switches associated with the site. Then, select the Advanced tab.
- Go to AdministrationSystem to configure SNMP notifications for the full ExtremeCloud IQ Controller environment. Then, select Settings.
If any notifications exist, they are listed under the SNMP Notifications panel in tabular form.
- Choose from the following actions:
- To remove an existing notification, select the target notification in the list, then select Delete.
- To modify settings for an existing notification, select the target notification in the list, then select Edit . Modify the settings in accordance with the instructions in this procedure.
- To create a new notification, select Add. Proceed to the next step.
- Configure or modify the Notification parameters as described in SNMP Notification Parameters.

| Name | Choose a SNMP user from the drop-down list. |
| Version | This field setting defaults to the SNMP version assigned: SNMPv2c or SNMPv3. |
| IP Address | IP address of the server that is to receive SNMP messages. |
| UDP Port | UDP Port of the server that is to receive SNMP messages. |
- Optionally, create up to two trap destinations for SNMP notifications. Select the type of message that you want to trap from the Forward Trap drop-down list. Options are:
- None
- Information
- Minor
- Major
- Critical
- Select Save to save settings.
