IP Objects and Host Names
View, add, sort, select, modify, enable and disable, delete IP (Internet protocol) objects and host names.
Navigate using the tab icons. Hover over an icon to see the name of the tab.
Configure > Common Objects > Basic > IP Objects/Host Names > object_name
or
Configure > Common Objects > Management > NTP Servers > server_name
An IP object or host name is a network object that you can reference in IP firewall policy rules as a Layer 3 source or destination and as a DNS server in a DNS assignment. An IP object/host name can be used by configuration objects throughout the ExtremeCloud IQ GUI. For example, they are used in network configurations of RADIUS servers, syslog servers, SNMP servers, and so on. For information about how to create and manage these items, see IP Objects and Host Names and NTP Servers.
To make changes to an existing IP object or host name, select the check box next to the name and select or just select the object name. In the window, make any changes. The procedure is the same when you select
. You must select IP Address or Host Name. You can also clone an existing object by selecting
. To delete an object, select the check box next to the object name and then select
.
