View Application Groups

As described in Applications, each application is associated with an application group. You can add a custom-defined application group, and then associate it with a custom-defined application. Alternatively, you can associate a system-defined application group with a custom-defined application. You can also view, add, filter, sort, select, modify, and delete applications (see Application Detection Rules).

To add a new custom application, display the Add Custom Application dialog box as described in Custom Applications.

To modify an existing custom application, search for the custom application name as described in Applications, and then select it.

In the Add Custom Application dialog box, select . to see a list of existing application groups. Select anywhere outside of the drop-down list to return to the Add Custom Application dialog box.

Add a New Application Group to the Application Group List

To add a new application group to a new custom application group list, follow the steps described in Custom Applications.To add a new application group to an existing custom application, search for and select the custom application name as described in Applications. In the Add Custom Application dialog box, select .

Enter the new application group name and select Save.

Add an Existing Application Group to an Application

To add an existing application group to a new custom application, follow the steps described in Custom Applications.To add an existing application group to an existing custom application, follow the steps described in Applications.

In the Add Custom Application dialog box, select . Select the application group name from the drop-down list.

Modify an Application Group Name

To modify an existing application group name in a new custom application group list, follow the steps described in Custom Applications.To modify an existing application group name in an existing custom application, follow the steps described in Applications

In the Add Custom Application dialog box, highlight the application group name, and select . You can modify the application group name and Select Save.

Delete a Custom Application Group

To delete an existing application group from a new custom application group list, follow the steps described in Custom Applications.To delete an existing application group name from an existing custom application, follow the steps described in Custom Applications.

Highlight the application group name, and select . Highlight the custom application group name and select .
