Create a DHCP Server Subnet
Use this procedure to create a DHCP Server subnet. The DHCP Server configuration must
include at least one subnet.
Procedure
- In the navigation pane, expand .
- Select DHCP Server.
- Select the Subnet tab.
- Select Insert.
- In Subnet IP, type the subnet network address.
- In Subnet Mask, type the mask.
- In Pool Range Start, type the IPv4 address that marks the start of the address range.
- In Pool Range End, type the IPv4 address that marks the end of the address range.
- Optional: Configure other optional parameters for the subnet to override the global DHCP Server configuration.
- Select Insert.
Subnet Field Descriptions
Use the data in the following table to configure the Subnet tab for DHCP Server.
Name | Description |
---|---|
Subnet IP | Assigns the network address of the DHCP subnet. |
Subnet Mask | Assigns the subnet mask for the DHCP subnet. |
Pool Range Start | Assigns the starting address in the IP address range. |
Pool Range End | Assigns the ending IP address in the address range. This address must be higher than the starting address. |
Lease Duration | Assigns the lease expiration timer in seconds. |
TFTP Server IP | Specifies the IP address of the TFTP server. |
TFTP Server Name | Specifies the server name of the TFTP server. |
TFTP Bootfile Name |
Specifies the file name of the TFTP boot image. |
Domain Name |
Specifies the DHCP server domain name. |
NetBios Type |
Specifies node type of the NetBIOS server. . Select one of the following:

Specifies the IPv4 address of the NetBIOS server for the subnet. |
