Enhancement to Download Commands

ExtremeXOS 31.1 changes the download url command so that you can download multiple different files types to a switch. The download url command allows you to download any of the following file types:

• cfg—configuration file (text format).
• lic—license file.
• lst—Extended Edge Switching combined ExtremeXOS controlling bridge software and bridge port extender image file.
• pol—policy file.
• py—Python file.
• voss—VOSS image file.
• xmod—ExtremeXOS modification image file.
• xos—ExtremeXOS image file.
• xsf—configuration file (ASCII format).
• xtr—BootROM file.

Additionally, the download image command allows you to now specify that the switch install the image immediately after downloading and reboot, rather than wait to be prompted after downloading.

Supported Platforms

ExtremeSwitching X435, X450-G2, X460-G2, X670-G2, X440-G2, X465, X590, X620, X690, X695, X870, and 5520 series switches.
