Configure SNMPv2 Communities

Use this procedure to add or delete SNMPv2 Communities.
  1. Choose from the following actions:
    • Go to Configure > Sites and select a site to configure a SNMPv2 community for the switches associated with the site. Then, select the Advanced tab.
    • Go to Administration > System to configure SNMPv3 users for the full ExtremeCloud IQ Controller environment. Then, select the Settings tab.
  2. From the SNMP field drop-down list, select SNMPv2.

    The SNMP Communities panel appears. If any communities have been configured, they are listed in tabular form.

  3. Choose from the following actions:
    • To delete an existing community, select the community in the list, then select Delete.
    • To configure a new SNMP community, select Add. Proceed to the next step.

      You can add a SNMP community from the Configure > Sites > Advanced workbench only.
  4. Configure SNMP Community parameters as described in SNMP Community Parameters.

    Access LevelChoose an access level from the drop-down list. Options are:
    • Read — Private Community. Default community for read-only SNMP communication.
    • Write — Public Community. Default community for write SNMP communication. Available for full ExtremeCloud IQ Controller environment support only.
  5. Select Save to save settings.
