A user profile contains settings that determine the VLAN, firewall policy permissions, tunnel policy, QoS (Quality of Service), scheduled activation times for the users to whom you apply the profile, and SLAs (client service level agreements).
After a user associates with an Extreme Networks device on an SSID, the device assigns the user to a user profile. The device can make this assignment dynamically from attributes returned by a RADIUS authentication server or statically by using the default user profile set for the SSID.
In the Access Settings section, you can see the settings for previously defined user profiles. You can add new user profiles, modify, and delete existing user profiles.
Configure firewall rules on the User Profile Security tab. See User Profile Security Settings.
Enable traffic tunneling (GRE) on the User Profile Traffic Tunneling tab. See GRE Traffic Tunneling.
