NX-5500 Integrated Services Platform Installation Procedure
Mount the NX-5500 in an equipment rack using industry standard rack mount brackets (19in).
Use 5.5lbs of torque to screw the brackets to the enclosure. Repeat the same procedure for the right side.
Connect the power cord.
Connect the Ethernet cables and connect the NX-5500 to the network.
Using a standard RS-232 console cable, connect the serial port on the NX-5500 to a serial port on a separate computer (the “configuration computer”).
Use the following parameters for the serial connection:

Port
COM port
Terminal Settings
19200bps transfer rate
8 data bits
no parity
1 stop bit
no flow control
no hardware compression
Apply power to the NX-5500.
Verify the LCD panel is illuminated.
