Your network hierarchy must contain at least one building before you can
add floors.
Perform
the following steps to add a floor to a building.
- Go to , and select Add.
Alternatively, double-click the name of a building, or select Add Floor
above the corresponding building map.
- Select the Floor tab, and
enter a name for the new floor.
- From the Associated With
menu, select a building.
- If the floor uses 6 GHz standard power, select Enable 6 GHz.
- From the Environment menu,
choose the environment type that most closely matches your installation.
- From the Floor Attenuation
menu, select the noise level of the floor.
- Enter the Height Above Ground and Accuracy Range.

Available only if
Enable 6 GHz is set to on.
- Enter the installation height
(the distance from floor to ceiling) and accuracy range of the APs on the floor.
If the height varies from AP to
AP, enter the average height. This setting has a minimal effect on location
estimates except for sites such as warehouses where the height of ceilings or
high crossbeams is substantial.

Accuracy Range is available only if
Enable 6 GHz is set to on.
- Enter the dimensions of the
floor plan.
- Upload a background image of a
floor plan from the drop-down list, or use the drawing tools to draw a floor
plan.
- To scale the map for imported
images, select the gear icon, and then select Rescale Plan.
- Enter dimensions, or size the
image manually by moving the red cross hairs to the end points of a known
distance, such as a standard doorway.
- Enter the known distance and
select Apply.
- Select SAVE.
