Virtual Appliance Setup 4: Choose a Configuration Activity

Step 4. Ready to Go

The final step of the setup workflow is to choose one of the following IQ Virtual Appliance configuration activities:

Configure a Network Policy

A network policy is an amalgamation of various configuration settings that can be applied to multiple APs, switches, and routers that share a common characteristic, such as being located at the same site or working together to connect multiple remote sites through VPN tunnels. For details, see Network Policy Settings.

Provision Devices

You can add Extreme Networks AP, router, and switches (real and simulated) manually, assign them to a location in your network topology, and deploy them to your newly created network policy. For details, see Device Settings, and .

Plan Your Network Topology

The Network 360 Plan, located under the tab, gives you a detailed, visual and geographical representation of your network. Design your deployment by simulating the RF environment where you want to install a wireless network so that you can determine the required number, settings, and locations of APs based on their estimated coverage in a site. For details, see ML Insights and ML Insights Network 360 Plan.
