show nodealias ip-device-tracking {ports port_list}

Description

This commands displays IP device tracking status and information for tracked devices on specified ports or all ports. Shows the current state of each tracked device, including whether it is responding to ARP probes.

Syntax Description

nodealias Node Alias feature that maps source IP address, MAC address, and protocol on a per port basis.
ip-device-trackingSpecifies IP device tracking information.
ports Specifies information on the ports for the Node Alias feature.
port_listSpecifies for which ports to display information. Designated as a port list separated by comma (,) or dash (-).

Default

If the ports are not specified, information appears for all ports.

Usage Guidelines

Use this command to monitor the status of tracked devices

Device status indicators:
  • Active - Device is responding to ARP probes
  • Inactive - Device has failed to respond to ARP probes exceeding the max-failures threshold
  • Not Tracked - IP device tracking is disabled on the port or device is not being monitored

Useful for troubleshooting connectivity issues with silent devices.

Compare with show nodealias to see all learned devices versus those being actively tracked.
