About this task
Extreme Networks devices typically obtain the time and date for their internal clocks
from an NTP server.
Procedure
-
Toggle the NTP Server function to ON.
-
Choose to use an existing NTP Server Setting, or proceed to the next
step.
-
Enter a new NTP Server
name.
-
Enter an optional description.
-
For HiveOS Device Sync
Interval, set a polling interval for devices to use for internal
clock synchronization.
-
For Switch Sync
Interval, choose a polling interval to apply to Fabric Engine switches.
-
Select an existing NTP server
from the table or use the add icon to create a new host name or IP
address.
-
Repeat the procedure to add more
NTP servers to the profile.
The second entry becomes the
secondary NTP server, and so forth. Because NTP servers are accessed in order
from the top according to their position in the profile, you can use the up and
down arrows to rearrange them if necessary.
-
To apply NTP servers
to devices via classification, select an existing classification
rule or select the add icon to add a new rule.
-
Select Save NTP
Server.
-
If you are ready to deploy the
network policy, select Next or continue to the next Management server.
