Discovery and Registration
Wireless devices (APs and SA201 adapters)
discover the IP address of
ExtremeCloud IQ
Controller using a sequence of mechanisms that allow
for the possible services available on the enterprise network. The discovery process is
successful when the AP/adapter successfully locates a controller to which it can register.
Ensure that the appropriate services on your enterprise network are prepared to support the
discovery process.
Note
The
following subnets are reserved for internal communications and Docker operations:
- 172.17.0.0/24
- 172.31.0.16/28
The ExtremeCloud IQ
Controller user
interface logic prevents adding addresses in these address ranges for VLAN interface
references.
